Hot music season has begun. We have prepared a selection of the most interesting festivals this summer - jazz and rock, comfortable and driving, Ukrainian and those nearby.
Alfa Jazz Fest
Where: Lviv
When: June 24-28
Who plays: Jamala, Pat Metheny, Branford Marsalis Quartet and special guest Kurt Jelling, Arturo Sandoval, Dianne Reeves, Esperanza Spalding, the band Lars Danielsson, Michel Camilo Trio and others.
Lviv and jazz it's a combination that pays off again. Sixth Alfa Jazz Fest will have three stages: the Market Square, near Potocki Palace and in Bohdan Khmelnytsky park. Headliners of the festival are on the last of these areas, which is named after the jazz trumpeter, violinist, conductor and composer Eddie Rosner.
Atlas Weekend
Where: Expocenter of Ukraine (ENEA), Kyiv
When: July 8-10
Who play: Apocalyptica, Jamala, «DakhaBrakha», Beissoul & Einius, GusGus, Pianoboy "Boombox" Ivan Dorn, "5'nizza" "Splin», Noize MC, The Subways, Kwabs, Onuka etc.
Atlas Weekend Festival was first held last year, and this has expanded into six scenes. They will be located on the territory of Kyiv national expocenter and will show the slice of contemporary music - from hip-hop to ethno program festival "Dreamland." Overall organizers announce the performances of 130 artists.

Fayne misto (Faine city)
Where: Airport "Ternopil"
When: July 7-10
Who plays: Lordi, Crazy Town, Pain, Zdob Si Zdub, Boombox, The Hardkiss, Dead by April, BRUTTO, TNMK, O.Torvald, Onuka, one in the canoe, Jinjer and other.
Festival "Fine City" rose by one day compared to last year. It will have four scenes and retain its rock foundation. In addition, many participants return of last year's festival, such as "Boombox», BRUTTO, «Elyzyum», The Hardkiss and O.Torvald.

U-Park

Who plays: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, The Kills, Nothing But Thieves, Hurts, The Hardkiss, Poets of the Fall, My Vitriol, SHANA
U-Park Festival announced itself loudly and scale: first it was reported that Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform second time at the Olympic. Then told that the next day will be the headliners Muse. Subsequently, the program was filled quite uniformly, it has also foreign bands that have performed in Ukraine, and those who will come first, and the Ukrainian teams.

Hedonism
Where: Trukhanov Island, Kyiv, South Coast of Kyiv
When: July 29-31
Who plays: Is Tropical, Hot Chip (DJ set), Marcus Marr, Lake People, Sophie Villy, Gapochka, Secret Avenue, Fun Service, Myopia, The Elephants, «Hands in Pants" Artem Pivovarov, Mari Cheba etc.
The last weekend of July on the banks of the Dnieper everyone will be able to understand the philosophy of hedonism, that enjoyment of life and summer. Beach "YUBK" (South Coast of Kyiv) on Trukhanov island will have four music scene where young Ukrainian bands and European artists will perform. The program will also include educational and sports events.

Zaxidfest
Where: Rodatychi, near Lviv
When: August 19-21
Who plays: Crystal Castles, Hollywood Undead, Enter Shikari, Oomph!, Behemoth, IAMX, DevilDriver, Noize MC, Balthazar, Jamala, SINOPTIK, Onuka, Pianoboy, O.Torvald, Vivienne Mort, Christina Soloviy, Zapaska, 5 Vymir, Panivalkova and other.
On its three stages Zaxidfest will combine solid rock with indie sound. In the program there are foreign headliners - Crystal Castles, Hollywood Undead and Enter Shikari. In addition, Ukrainian music that has gained European recognition will sound on the festival: Speech and winner of "Eurovision» Jamala, and SINOPTIK group, which won the final Global Battle of the Bands in Berlin in late May 2016.

Who plays: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pharrell Williams, Sigur Rós, PJ Harvey, LCD Soundsystem, Florence + The Machine, Foals, The Last Shadow Puppets, Tame Impala, Wiz Khalifa and others.
Although it is not ukrainian festival, but we strongly advise you to visit it. The festival this year will bring everyone together to the Baltic Sea. There will be the intense current of participants. They perform and LCD Soundsystem, which reunited in late 2015, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers with a new album «The Getaway», and PJ Harvey, who presented the ninth release in April 2016 year.
